Is there a cost for an initial conversation?
No. The first conversation is simply a chance for us to understand your situation and for you to get a sense of whether our approach fits. Only after that conversation would we outline a scoped proposal for any further work.
How quickly will I hear back?
We typically respond to messages and calls within one to two business days. If you have a time-sensitive matter, mentioning that in your message helps us prioritize accordingly.
Do I need to be based in Friday Harbor?
Not at all. While we are proud to be part of this community, we regularly work with clients elsewhere in Washington State and beyond through phone and video conversations.
What information should I include in my message?
A short description of your business, what prompted you to reach out, and any specific questions or concerns you have in mind. There is no need to prepare anything formal — a plain description is more than enough to start.

Our office sits on University Road in Friday Harbor, a short distance from the town’s ferry terminal and downtown core. Friday Harbor is the county seat of San Juan County and the primary port of entry for the San Juan Islands, reachable by Washington State Ferries from Anacortes, by small aircraft, or by private boat.
If you are planning an in-person visit, we recommend contacting us in advance to schedule a time, since our office hours can shift around travel and on-site client work throughout the islands. We are also glad to meet by phone or video call for clients who are not based locally or who simply prefer not to travel.
For clients located elsewhere in Washington State or beyond, most of our engagement work — from initial conversations through document review and planning sessions — can be conducted remotely without any loss of the personal attention that defines how we work.
